Today was the most exciting newscast I have been a part of, and I can safely say I was a big reason it was so exciting. As you will hear in two Tuesdays, I had to read my wrap in the studio, which was interesting to say the least.
But before that tragedy, I had a very nice day. I arrived in class and Noel told me about the Bone Marrow Drive. I went to Panasci Lounge and talked with a nice girl who was ready to donate. She seemed like quite a nice young lady. She was anemic so she couldn't donate blood, but she said she would because it was worth it to save a life. She also compared the bone marrow drive to signing up for the United States draft (Why, I have no idea.)
The actual drive was really quite cool. The chair was named Helene Kahn, whose brother has leukemia (the most common disease that requires donated bone marrow.) She was really nice and very helpful when I asked to record her instructions as Natural Sound.
I screwed up pretty badly with the carting, but other than that, I'm not too upset.

That's pretty courageous of that girl to give blood when she's anemic!
