Today went a heck of a lot better than I thought it did. I had a powerhouse team to work with, and everyone really brought their game faces to the news room today. I want to start out by thanking the members of Team C-- our newscast turned out awesome.
Get it? It's a floater....
That being said, I also learned a lot of good lessons today, so that's good too. I am now comfortable being a producer--woo hoo!
We actually had three floaters in this news cast because right up until the very end, I wasn't sure what story fit better and which story was more important. In the end, it came down to time. I had time for one longer piece, but not two shorter ones (odd, I know) so the one about Hurricane Noel made it, and the rest took back burners.
The one floater that I wish we had time for, assuming I took the time to rewrite it a little better, was the space shuttle one. I just thought it was interesting that they were repairing a solar panel and a rotary joint with strips of aluminium and tape!
I also wish I would have thought to include information from Thursday Morning Round Table. That was just a huge oversight on my part--oops!
Despite that, however, I think our newscast turned out really well and I am so proud of my team. Well done, guys!

We were a power house team to say the least. And captain, you have a fact error in your title, we were Team C(APTAINavating Cool) in honor of the Captain. We were awesome. Good work this week.
Wow, the post I removed had about 100 typos in it. Let's try this again
Good job today, Katie!
It's definitely hard to be a producer, especially when you don't know if your anchor is going to read right, or if one of your reporters is even going to have his story done on time.
It's just unfair how awesome you and I are.
I'm sorry if I stressed you out with my pacing. I think I owe you a pack of Parliments.
