Spaghetti Supper

Moynihan Hoperul -...

The story I decided to report on was Deborah Moynihan. She ran for the 19th district legislator and I had what was a very interesting interview with her yesterday at the spaghetti supper. What I couldn't fit into my story which I found interesting was how hard Moynihan says she worked on her campaign. I could tell from her bloodshot eyes that she must not have been getting much sleep lately. She told me about how she went door to door throughout her election to talk to voters. Moynihan says she met with 1140 voters, and mailed about 7500. She said she had done way more than her opponent Lovie Winslow who had the worst attendance record among legislators. Also she told me that she was the first ever candidate the 'paper' endorsed against the incumbent. I enjoyed how enthusiastic Moynihan was about the election and it really seems like she loves what she is doing.

She lost in the end, by the way.
