It's hard. That's all.

(Hypothetically speaking as if it were Thursday-) Finding a good story is probably THE most challenging job in RTN 364. I sent Professor Nicholson an email Wednesday night asking if I could do a story on DPS’s reaction to the gunman incident at St. John’s, and sure enough I got a straight forward “NO.” I couldn’t settle down with any idea until 12:30 pm, when professor gave me his approval for doing a story on that crazy mom. Then I immediately called my friend and at 1:15 he gave me a ride to Onondaga County District Attorney’s office. I waited for about 15 minutes for Sergeant John D’Eredita, then he came out and talked for about two minutes, then I thanked him and sprinted back to campus and started working on my story. Today feels like a huge mess to me, I’m really glad I survived through it. I also think it’s pretty cool that now I’m like a professional reporter doing professional new stories.
