I originally planned on going to the South Side Innovation Center for a story, but when I called the center, they told me the Post Standard got the dates wrong for the event. I asked what other events are going on at the center this weekend. I was told a Taste of CNY festival. The lady I was put in contact with said she wouldn't be available for an interview until Friday, which was past our deadline. I went to plan two, which was the Thursday Morning Round Table at Drumlins. The Round Table was a lot more interesting than I thought it was going to be. Dean Rubin and his panelists really hit some good points on some fairly engaging topics that I didn't know too much about before the Round Table.
When I went to go write my story, I knew what angle I wanted to take because Lisa Dolak, a panelist, talked about a local event- Joanie Mahoney winning the Republican nomination for county executive in Onondaga County.
