Surprisingly smooth

Over all I think today went really well, which makes me kinda nervous for next week. As a producer the fact that my reporters ( Matt and Andrew) got there stories done early made everything so much easier and so did the fact that my anchor (Jameson) got a phoner on the first try. When it came to making the rundown all the stories that I felt were important just kind of managed to fit together logically. There was an important local story, then a local event that connected to a state story, this got us on another state level story that also had a science element and then another science story, then we wrapped it up with a local feature story and voila! We had A block. Going last really helped with the timing, we had time to go through the entire script and get an idea of actual time before Jameson went on and I think that made a huge difference. But I still think we could have been ready to go at the first time slot, it just wouldn't have been as smooth. I hope next week goes as smoothly.
